From January 2020, you will find a collection exhibition with a graphic cabinet on the first floor of 8smička. The architecture of the seven-room apartment features 100 works from a private collection, and the host personally guides you through the 7+1 apartment.
In the summer of 2022, the Collector's Apartment underwent its first major transformation, during which new works were placed in the existing architecture, not only from the local depository, but for the first time also from other prestigious Czech and foreign collections. As Emma Hanzlíková, the author of the Collector's Apartment concept, writes in her text: "The Humpolec collector now invites you to another visit to his apartment to share his unconventional and constantly growing collection. Many masterpieces of the Czech interwar avant-garde, forgotten authors and the youngest generation of Czech artists remained in their places, while others were exchanged in favor of new acquisitions, quite possibly even loans from a circle of close art lovers and friends. Eva Koťátková's puppets will play in the children's room, Zdenek Sýkora's twelve lines weave through the living room, Václav Boštík's particle beam will ignite a spark in the bedroom, and water polo players Jiří Sopek and Bohumil Zemánek will jump out of the bathtub at you in the bathroom."
Visits are accepted on the basis of a prior reservation every Friday at three times. The number of members of each visit is a maximum of 10 guests. Reservations can be made individually or as a group.
The Zlata Husa Gallery lent the following works:
Zdeněk Sýkora - Garden (1960)
Hugo Demartini - The Red Relief (1960)
Bohumil Zemánek and Jiří Sopko - Water polo (1970 - 1971)
