Get to know the remarkable life story of the painter Miloš Malina, to whom our museum owes a substantial part of its collection, and view, among other things, the works of leading 20th-century artists Václav Špála, Emil Filla and Andrej Bělocvětov, with whom Miloš Malina knew very well.
Miloš Malina bequeathed his entire estate to the museum, which, due to his diverse interests – collecting, amateur archaeology, photography, restoration and his own art, represents an unusually large collection of several tens of thousands of specimens. The exhibition project focuses in particular on his art collection, which has not yet been comprehensively presented, and which guides the visitor through the artist's key meetings with important personalities of his time. Thanks to these contacts, Miloš Malina acquired art works that will be presented at the exhibition. They will be complemented by a collection of art artifacts, often used as models for Malin's paintings, and his archaeological findings.
As part of the exhibition, there will be guided tours with curators Mgr. Anna Strasserová and archaeologist Mgr. Petr Nový every time from 5 p.m.:
